Who is Ashley Cox?

Bonjour! …I had my second French class last week with Ashley Cox… cannot believe how much I’ve picked up in only two lessons…this girl is an amazing teacher! I knew right away she was passionate about her work and had to hear her story…

Ashley was raised in Ohio and fell in love with the French language in her first year of high school.

“I envisioned living in France, and having a dramatic, romantic experience-something much different from any life I would come to have in Ohio.” - Ashley Cox

…So she decided to follow her heart.  Rather than taking the traditional route of choosing a career in safe industry with a high-paying salary, Ashley decided to get a B.A. in French from Indiana University.  After that she went on to pursue an M.A. in French Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Staying true to her 15 -year old dream, Ashley moved to Paris, France, to work as an English lecturer at the Université Paris 10 Nanterre, and stayed there for two years.  Looking for new opportunities, Ashley decided to make the move to New York City.  She is currently working at the Berlitz school in Manhattan, as both an ESL and FSL instructor.

Ashley has really gained an exceptional understanding of the language and has figured out the most efficient and effective way to teach it.  Not only will you be able to quickly learn a new language, but you’ll have fun in the process.

Interested in taking a class? Join her at the Berlitz school (http://www.berlitz.us/) or contact her at ashley@elitemail.org to set up your own private lesson!

And now the answers to the questions you were all thinking about…

If someone is interested in learning a new language, what is the first step they should take?
They should let go of any sort of fear of making mistakes. The best language learners go for it and learn from them.

If you were a type of food, what type of food would you be?
I would be an unexpected combo—maybe a vanilla cupcake with a bacon topping?

If you had a million dollars how would you spend it?
I would buy my mom about a zillion presents for being amazing—and leave enough left over to buy myself a return trip to France. :)

Another beautiful bride!

Passion=Profits

This blog is about friends, along with some other fantastic people that I have met in my life, who chose to follow their heart and watch their dreams come true. No one knows what they want to do in life, and you’ll probably never make enough money to be happy, so why not take control of your life and start being happy now. Everything else will work itself out.
